The national tea party group that helped defeat U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski in the GOP primary is back in Alaska.
The California-based Tea Party Express is unveiling a new ad campaign in support of her Republican rival, Joe Miller. It also is hosting a two-hour radio-thon Monday night, a rally of sorts for Miller, on KBYR in Anchorage.
The group reported spending more than $550,000 in the primary, labeling Murkowski as a liberal and Republican in name only.
It also made claims about Murkowski's record that she called mischaracterizations or lies. She has acknowledged not being ready for the impact the group would have.
Murkowski vowed to avoid a repeat this time as she mounts a write-in campaign and is running ads of her own, taking aim at the group.

The Tea Party platform, candidates and money behind them are frightening things for this country. Many have done damage without ever having been elected. I hate to think what it will be like if they are voted in.
TPE bastards, get out of my state! Go back to your bankrupt California. Take Joe and Sarah with you.
