Soldiers for Christ and wow, what a Teabagger float !

That's quite a town, Wasilla.

That teabagger float looked a bit sparse.

It's nice that Palin didn't show up and take some of the spotlight off of the special guests and invitees. Although I'm sure that wasn't a consideration when she decided not to attend. More like ducking questions and the media.

I see that Shannyn is getting some flack for what she has blogged about the governor. When you drop a huge job (one of only 50 in the country) and suddenly leave, people will speculate.

For the job in the future will be have to inject a stipulation that the governor will give at least 2 months notice before quitting?

Ahem, "For the job in the future will be have to inject a stipulation that the governor will give at least 2 months notice before quitting?"

I should have said,

"For the job in the future will we have to inject a clause or a stipulation that states that the governor will give at least 2 months notice before quitting?"

I like Katie Hurley.

Looks like all 12 of the Mat-Su Democrats turned out. Let's see if they can get enough votes to even put up a race against Wes Keller in the next election.

Soldiers for Christ T-Shirts really rile the creepy left don't they?

Love the Tea Baggers Party float. Makes me proud to be American just basking in the beauty of it's ideology alone. Perhaps you just got it from a bad angle?

Can I remove my tongue from my cheek now?

Anon at 5:56pm. We dems might be the minority out here in the valley, but we sure seem to have a voice that is recognized more nationally than do those on the other side of the fence. Just sayin'.

I can't think of a single valley or alaskan conservative that is being recognized on national news media. Could be that pesky issue of education and ability to exercise good grammar and speak coherently.

Just keep looking to your teabags for answers. Certain cultures and religions have looked to tea leaves for answers for centuries.

"I can't think of a single valley or alaskan conservative that is being recognized on national news media."

Hmmm, why would that be ? Couldn't be anything to do with the fact that the national State-run media want as much dirt as they can dredge up on Palin ?
Maybe that's why no-one from the MSM bothered checking on Obama's shady past in Chicago while planeloads of Dem-supporting "journalists" flocked to Alaska determined to destroy Palin.

The Wasilla 4th of July Parade is truly not for the faint of heart. "God, Guns & Guts" abound. Makes you think you've been teleported to the bowels of the deep South, or perhaps to the clutches of a Survivalist encampment somewhere.

And guess what, a lot of those people are armed. Alaska requires no permits to carry a concealed weapon. In Wasilla at a tea party I would bet at least a third of the men are carrying weapons.

Makes the creepy left itch all over doesn't it?

And you wonder why a democrat has a hard time getting elected in Wasilla.

@Anon, 10:54 p.m., just curious. Why are you so afraid of journalists coming to Alaska?

Is it the rumored Palin/AIP connection, as was released yesterday on a non-Alaskan blog?

"@Anon, 10:54 p.m., just curious. Why are you so afraid of journalists coming to Alaska? "

Way to twist a comment. My point was that the Democrat run MSM sent planeloads of "journalists" to Alaska in a desperate attempt to dig up dirt on a VP candidate and yet none of these partisan hacks made the shorter trip to mob-run Chicago to investigate the shady background of the Presidential candidate.

@8:15 a.m. Why are you comparing Palin to Obama? That's a non sequitur. She is no longer even a governor, let alone a politician.

You didn't answer my question. Why are you so afraid of national journalists coming to Alaska? What are you so afraid of?

(By the way, major American journalists have been covering the Chicago area for about 200 years.)
