A moving van, really? I mean, how much does Palin's overnight bag weigh? It's not like the Palin's actually LIVED there or anything ....

I think the trampoline, the bouy swing, and Piper's tricycle (REALLY? She's 9...) were being packed up in that. At least that's what the KTOO reporter said. Can't imagine there'd be much else. Also, I hope the State Museum sent a staffer over to do an inventory...

This tweet just in...

@AKGovenorPalin Durn moving van broke tanning bed in half. But Van Flein is on it and will report damages to public.

Circle the musk ox and get the dead fish out of the way, THE POINT GUARD IS WALKING OFF THE COURT!!!! Yay!!!

Now let's progress this great state!

anon@12:12: It's sad isn't it, she actually probably believe "durn" is a real word.

So now the taxpayers get to reimburse for her tanning bed being broken....? Lucky Alaskans.

What no helicopter and dramatic wave to the staff?

How mundane. How very, very fitting.

How trite.

And how very very Trashy she is.

She bought the tanning bed (used) and then claimed it wasn't a vain indulgence because it was installed at the Governor's mansion.

Now she's taking it back. So it really *was* a vain indulgence.

And now it's broken? Well, too bad. It's Palin's bed and unless the movers are bonded and insured....tough luck that.

They left something hanging in the tree but yup , truck would be for the kids' toys.
Wouldn't need a truck for a spare pair of glasses and change of unders...
And I'm sorry folks, I don't think SP would take anything of value from our beautiful Governor's Mansion. Mind you it's not because I think she's honest, just don't think any of the old history-soaked items would appeal to a renegade rogue quitter...
Not snappy and mavericky enough, you know?

AKPi--they actually left the bouy swing? Tacky; as if the new gov's teenagers are going to want to use it? And luckily, most of the good stuff is in locked cabinets! Oh, forgot she'd have to be packing up that tanning bed, also too...

The "new" gov ain't gonna live in Juneau, InJuneau .... no teenagers swinging from the trees.

Soon-to-be Gov Skippy says he will move to Juneau if you vote for him. What a way to show good faith, eh?

wow, what a pathetic group of people here. You all need serious help. Your obsession with Palin is ridiculous

alaskapi said...

Oh poor old anony at 19...No obsession here with SP.Just keeping a close eye on whether she really does get out of town.
My personal obsession is that we have way too many serious things to get to work on here in Alaska and the endless tripe coming out of our executive branch ,with this soon-to-be-gone exec at the helm, has overshadowed REAL issues we face.
SP's exec-gone-missing behavior during last Legs session...
The lack of coherent response to the problems in rural Alaska last winter when the warnings started in MAY...
The lack of cohesive strategies for energy and transportation interties and management...
The lack of focus on the WHAT of causes which add up to the crisis of despair evident in our high suicide rate...
Watching the devolution of our executive branch, with SP at the switch, into a scattered disarray of 'talking points' and code words directed to folks Outside and veering FAR away from our tradition of bi-partisan hammering out of isses has been alarming.
If making jokes about the silverware being left behind strikes you as pathetic, I for one am proud to be

InJuneau-
I think it's the buoy but have to be so careful on that corner right now with the construction on the rock fence across the street obscuring the 2 blind corners I haven't looked at the yard carefully...too many pedestrians all along there this time of year to get distracted...

Aussie Blue Sky--Oh, I know the new gov isn't moving here, but maybe Piper thought they'd want to use it when they visit over spring break?!? ;)

AKPi--prob. is the bouy; there wasn't anything else hanging there...

Anyone check to make sure Palin isn't moving off with the Alaska Standard blog?

It is still down according to my bookmark.

I have room on my blog for Alaska Standard if they want to move temporarily until they get things straightened out with bluehost.

To Anon at 8:19: were it not for us, your girl would be looking in the mirror demanding "why don't they pay more attention to me?!!??? don't they know I am great??!?!! how can they not know of my greatnessssssss. ..."
