"remembrance of animals" is one movement from a six-movement 1993 background for an installation by Seattle bronze sculptor Peter Bevis.The poem, commissioned by me and derived from statements made by principals involved in the Exxon Valdez catastrophe, is by Ann Chandonnet.
The entire sonic work, dedicated to Rick Steiner, is called Shadows, my Opus 30.
The vocalist is Thomasa Eckhart, in a live performance at the Jack Straw Studios in Seattle, on August 15, 2002.
