Saradise Lost - Book 2 - Chapter 62 -- Will Palin Step Down to Take the Job Opening with the Tea Party-Affiliated Minutemen?

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, when asked last week about her future job aspirations, told CNN's Wolf Blitzer that, in regard to running again for governor in 2010, or for president in 2012, she could provide "No decision that I'd want to announce today."

It has been over five weeks since the post-legislative session Hayes poll came out, showing Palin at plus 54%. Since then, she has been ranked the 36th most popular governor in the USA, and was not the 2012 choice of 99.5% of Republicans queried in one recent poll.

A guy who seemed to blame the media and others for Palin's popularity plunge from 95% to less than 54%, is under arrest in Washington, DC.

The weird intersection between Palin's unabashed 2nd Amendment stances on the one hand, and the Tea Bag Party, FAUX News analysts, right-wingnut radio screamers, groups like the Minutemen and militant evangelical Christian groups, and so on, on the other hand, puts her image into the forefront of the minds of a lot of nuts Palin has no control over whatsoever.

The meme that because Palin is directly or indirectly responsible for the actions of people like James von Brunn, because the latter both thought the media was unfair to Palin, espoused some of her ideals and was indirectly tied to groups she has supported, is just as specious as the argument that an underage woman would be endangered were she to be in the presence of David Letterman, or that Letterman's words are directly or indirectly responsible for any kind of measurable sexual abuse indicator.

Another argument, that continuing instances of lone shooters, overwhelmed by one thing or another, having been influenced by a bombardment of hate rhetoric from radio, TV, print and the web, are being impelled toward the breaking point by these hate messages, is beginning to get very persuasive, though.

This weekend's announcement
that Jason Eugene Bush, 38, Shawna Forde, 42 and Albert Robert Gaxiola, 43, have been arrested for the murders last month of a man and his 8-year-old daughter is only the most recent event tying murderers to right-wing causes who have been subliminally enabled weekly, daily and hourly by right wing media outlets.

Jason Bush is the Executive Director of the Tea Bag Party-linked group, Minutemen American Defense group.

I've been covering the Alaska Tea Party. I've published photos of their events, and their recently disappeared Wasilla Manifesto, authored by Cheryl Brooks.

Here's the Tea Bag Party float in Saturday's Colony Days parade:

The whole movement and the narrative that it is a citizens' uprising, has been false since its corporate-inspired and financed beginnings.

Politicians who don't want to become voted out, due to the increasing concern by Americans, as more of these gun-toting, vengeful nut-cases come out of the woodwork in their hatred of so many things, should be wary.

The falsities of this provocative meme - that Obama and liberals are somehow too dangerous to let live - are as seditious as things get in the USA.

Even though links between the Tea Party and the organization run by the man arrested for the horrendous murders in Arizona, are pretty direct, there's probably no reason to ratchet up Alaska or Federal law enforcement surveillance of the Alaska Tea Party's events beyond their current levels.

Yet.

I'll be interviewing members of the Alaska Tea Party at Nunley Park, by the shores of Lake Wasilla, late in the afternoon on the 4th of July.

On to the now leaderless Minutemen American Defense group. Their leader obviously lacked organizational skills. They need somebody who can organize events and political currents down to the most minute level. Here's Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me'!s host to recommend a new director:

Governor Palin attended a major GOP fundraising dinner in Washington, where, first, she had been invited to speak, then she said she had never been invited, so she was disinvited. Then she complained that she hadn't been invited, so she was re-invited, and that stole the focus, and the people who had disinvited her, because she might steal the focus.

By the end of the week, there she was - smiling, looking good, sounding folksy, standing on top of smoldering political wreckage.

Now is that an endorsement for running the Minuteman American Defense group, or what?!

All snark aside, it is far more important to extensively cover the growing hatred emanating from within what should be considered fringe-right elements, here in Alaska and nationwide, than it is to be drawn into the failings of a fading, jaded comedian like David Letterman, or the most ridiculous political character of the 21st century.

I should point out here, Phil, as I did in your blog entry below on the specific subject of Palin vs. Letterman, that I finally found proof that Sarah Palin was lying through her teeth -- and Todd Palin too -- about Willow being the subject of David Letterman's "knocked up" joke.

In addition to what we've already realized, that so far there's no visual proof that Willow Palin was ever at that Sunday June 7th Yankee game....

According to this phrase in The New York Daily News -- which'd I'd read before, I just didn't realize the significance of it -- "the Palins left sometime in the sixth inning for the [Independent Group Home Living Foundation] award ceremony honoring Palin."

The Yankee game started at 1:10 PM EDT on Sunday June 7th. It wasn't a nighttime game.

The 6th inning was around 3:00 PM in the afternoon, which would have given the Palins lots of time to get to the awards ceremony.

Therefore, even if a photo of Willow being at that game ever does surface -- if the Palins left in the 6th inning, they wouldn't have been there for the 7th inning, which is when a Palin daughter was supposedly being "knocked up" by Alex Rodriguez!

David Letterman's "apology under duress" is a valid apology.

Sarah Palin, you are SUCH a liar.

Sarah Palin wants to run in 2012 on a campaign against celebrities and the Hollywood culture, fine by me. May as well be a complete Democratic landslide, allowing us to remove other downballot Republicans from office along the way.

It was a joke. And Sarah Palin does have, exudes actually, that "slutty flight attendant" look. And, lest we forget, her underage daughter did in fact get knocked up as Letterman said.

Letterman ain't going nowhere.

Palin keeps digging that hole deeper and deeper every time she opens her ignorant, delusional, hateful, lying mouth. What a hoot! The woman who would deny others freedom of choice (including victims of rape and child molestation),charge victims of rape for forensic exams, and overtly flaunts her sexuality to earn votes (yes, she does indeed present herself in a slutty and innappropriate way) sure as heck doesn't represent any form of respect for women or women's rights. Her hiked up mini skirt and hooker heels at a somber Memorial Day program says it all. Showing up to greet male McCain staffers in her hotel suite wrapped in a towel and nothing else during the campaign. Go-go boots with short, tight outfits on the campaign trail. And now she dresses her young teenage daughter in Daisy Duke short-shorts for a public appearance in NY after her teenage older sister got knocked up and now works for Candies, the sexually suggestive clothing company for 'tweens. This family is the gift that just keeps on giving for late night comedy shows!

No mention of Willow at the game.

The GOP political duo and their spouses exchanged laughs, smiles and small talk as they watched the Yanks take on Tampa Bay. At one point, Giuliani snapped a photo of his wife, Judith, with Alaska's First Couple.
