From the Folks Who Will Be Running the US House Hearings on Climate Change in January

God predicted these Teabaggers would come into the U.S. government. It's in Proverbs 26:11.

Loved your Bible quote. Actually, I think the U.S. government is mentioned in Revelation chapter 13 where it compares it to the Catholic Church and its persecutions of those who disagreed with them.

It is horrifying to see God's word discussed in the Senate. It is sickening to hear this man quote the Bible so he and his rich friends can go on polluting the world. What can you do? The world is going crazy - it it returning to the Dark Ages.

Very good usage of the quote! As a young wife and mother, 22 years ago in the big thick of charismatic Christianity (but I got better), we discussed cloth vs. disposable diapers in our toddler playgroup. I remember my shock and unease when the other Christian moms snorted and mocked my little concerns. "We're not even going to be around when it makes any difference! Who cares! We'll be in heaven, not on some stinky old planet..." Even my stutterings of "but, we're caretakers. We're...stewards, the planet--it's like a gift..." I was too new to it all, and too young, my little pleadings were easily mocked and shut down. Not the only occasion in my 12 year stint there that any sort of speaking on behalf of Earth or food-source animal conditions, or any type of stewardship resulted in eyeball-rolling or derision. If a person truly believes the best reward awaits them after death, there's no reason at all for them to concern themselves with the world. Well, money and power while here, I guess. But all else truly seems as nothing.

"12 year stint" above meaning twelve years within charismatic Christianity, not a toddler playgroup...

I love the still on this video. Check out the look on the female aide sitting behind him. Even she knows he is batshit crazy.
