Anchorage Civic Orchestra This Saturday at the PAC

If you're a cellist, a woodwind player or a soprano, this concert is especially meant for you.

Hietor Villa-Lobos' Bachianas Brasileiras No. 5 is scored for eight cellos and soprano singer. It is packed with luscious Brazilian melodies and rhythms from beginning to end.

Jean Sibelius' 3rd Symphony highlights all the strings, but especially the cellos. It also has some of that Nordic composer's finest woodwind writing.

Two of our French Horn players, Dan Heynen and Lorene Griffin, will be featured in Georg Phillip Telemann's Concerto for Two Horns and Orchestra.

Christine Renee Keene will also sing two arias by Mozart and an aria from Die Fledermaus.

Don't miss it!
