Saradise Found Chapter 21 - The Palin Doctrine Declared on the Eddie Burke Show

That's right- The Palin Doctrine.

Here it is:

Eddie Burke: The president never said "victory" in almost 31 minutes of language there in front of our men and women there at the academy. Is he wrong on this?

Sarah Palin: Well, it's alarming that there isn't a passion for victory - victory means essentially killing the terrorists, stopping the growing cells of terrorists over there, so they don't come over here and destroy America, and try to destroy our allies too, so kind of shocking that we still don't hear that "Hey - We Win, You Lose!" old Reaganesque type of thinking when we talk war strategy - but - THANK GOD - at least now Obama [note the lack of "President" there by the quitter who demands she be called "Governor"] listened to McCrystal - albeit months and months later, but listened to him - and is giving him at least partially the reinforcements that have been requested; we've gotta get over there, and we gotta have that surge strategy - those conditions are different than Iraq, but essentially the same surge strategy that worked in Iraq, let's do it in Afghanistan and, uhm, let's, you know, allow that country to start guarding its own self so that America can start shifting focus, but, for now, we're on a mission over there and we'd better win.

I'm curious as to how Palin would know who and where the secret cells are. How would she identify them?
What is Palin's definition of victory? Does the entire country have to be nuked? Thank God that she didn't and will never come close to the nuke codes.
So if Palin thinks that she knows all the answers, claims that she is "Country First', why doesn't she join the military and work her way up the ladder so that her policy can be considered? If she is so knowledgable about all things regarding Foreign Policy, why won't she go on one of the Sunday talk shows ad give us an idea as to how she would handle things?
Oh yeah, she doesn't have a freakin clue.
She is a joke of epic proportions.

Why would anyone care what she thinks, this from the women who didn't even think about the war until Track enlisted, this from the woman who is watching Russia from land in AK, this from the woman who would have jumped into the Russia/Georgia war last year, this from the woman who thinks Israel can do what they want to fulfill bible prophecy, this from the woman who still doesn't know the difference between Iraq and Iran. Sure President Obama should take advice from her.

This would be hilarious if it weren't so darned pathetic.

This f'n idiot needs to be put on a gag order. Not because she continually recycles Bush vernacular (destroy America, Victory?) and trite military strategy, but because the sound of her voice is also too grating.

Just a simpleton who strings together sound bites. There is no "there" there.

Does this woman think that a day visiting troops in Iraq or Kosovo qualifies her to talk about war?

Does she not understand how two-faced and hypocritical she is, saying "on behalf of the troops" every other sentence, and bloodthirstily wanting the Afghan war ramped up until "victory...WE WIN YOU LOSE" is achieved? She might try asking Vladimir Putin, since she knows him so well, how that worked out for the Russians.

She's a damned chickenhawk, just like Cheney.

Someone should shove this woman on a troop transport plane headed for Afghanistan, and load her up in one of those semi-armored vehicles and drive her up into the mountains, keep her there for a month or so -- maybe she'd get a CLUE why a "surge" in Afghanistan won't work quite the same as in Iraq -- and maybe she'll get a CLUE why "victory" will be a little hard to come by.

Nah...she'll just Tweet to all her mindless fans how lovely the poppy fields are...

Peggy Noonan, a Reagan speech writer and dyed in the wool republican continues to have THE most insightful account of Palin.

Sarah Palin's resignation gives Republicans a new opportunity to see her plain—to review the bidding, see her strengths, acknowledge her limits, and let go of her drama.

In television interviews she was out of her depth in a shallow pool.

She was limited in her ability to explain and defend her positions, and sometimes in knowing them.

She couldn't say what she read because she didn't read anything.

She was utterly unconcerned by all this and seemed in fact rather proud of it: It was evidence of her authenticity.

She experienced criticism as both partisan and cruel because she could see no truth in any of it.

She wasn't thoughtful enough to know she wasn't thoughtful enough.

Her presentation up to the end has been scattered, illogical, manipulative and self-referential to the point of self-reverence. "I'm not wired that way," "I'm not a quitter," "I'm standing up for our values." I'm, I'm, I'm.

"The elites hate her."

The elites made her.

It was the elites of the party, the McCain campaign and the conservative media that picked her and pushed her.

The base barely knew who she was.

She is a complete elite confection.

She might as well have been a bonbon.

I'm sick and tired of a total jerkoff who has stated she has common sense talking nonsense.I would bet She cant even find Afganistan on a map. She's a total fraud .Anyone who cant see beyond her B.S. deserves what they get,but we must concentrate on the issues that matter, villify her but spend an equal share of your time on the support of those in office who are doing the job!

WE WIN YOU LOSE

You might want to think about that, Sarah, in another context. Like last November. And STFU.

This woman truly thinks she is an important figure in national security debates. She's so
self-aggrandizing that she believes Obama has finally relented to her advice to put more troops in Afghanistan. She's stupid enough to take on Al Gore - Al Gore! over an issue that he has made his life's work.
The emptiness of her chocolate box bromides has no place on the national stage and she's just too vacuous, vapid and vain to realize that she has absolutely no clue about which she speaks.

I noticed on Conan last night, that he called her "Governor" and that just didn't sit right with me when I heard it. Now, after reading this exchange, I see she demands to be referred to as that, so she looks more impressive than her record suggests. What did she actually accomplish once she became governor, taking out Murkowski? Oh yeah, she stopped the wolf killing (not), and she got the pipeline back to all Alaska(not). We all now know that Exxon wanted to run it into Canada to existing lines and so she did exactly what Murk was doing. Some Maverick, er quitter.

Phil, maybe you could highlight this and open up some dialogue...

If all we do is watch the circus parade, there's some more clowns who aren't being watched, and they're busily amusing themselves at our expense and feeling pretty good about the fact that everyone is looking the other direction.
