Those might be the words, said or just thought through, by many Alaska journalists - print, radio and TV, on the news, reported minutes ago by the McClatchey Washington DC reporter, Erika Bolstad, that Sen. Ted Stevens has lost his bid to have his September-October trial moved from DC to Anchorage.
My two cents: An Anchorage trial would have been a circus, and would have ended up being longer than one in Washington DC probably will be.
Update - 10:00 a.m: Kate Klonick from Talking points Memo Muckraker has more.

Just to get a sense of the stakes, my understanding is, a Senator is not automatically removed from office if found guilty of a felony. A Senator must be impeached for his conduct in order to be removed from office. In our history, there has been only one Senator impeached, in 1799. So, if Senator Stevens is found guilty of any crimes, he may continue to serve until impeached? True, or not?
