Labor Day 2009 Garden Pictures
This has been one of our best gardening years ever.
I harvested some beets today, for a pot luck dish: We grow a lot of cilantro. We save the seeds of the mature ones. These will be ninth generation: Purple poppy and yellow bok choy flowers: Mint and dill flowers: Bulbous zucchini: A busy bee:
Phil, for a really nice coleslaw, add 2-3 tablespoons of freshly ground coriander (cilantro) seed to your cabbage & mayo. You should be drying some mature seed to use for cooking as coriander, a necessity for many Indian dishes.

Great work!
Boy-
My Southeast garden looks wimpy compared to yours... leastwise the zucchini do!
Thank you for sharing your lovely garden.
Good job!
I love to juice beets. Yum!

HBAK,
We do that too. The cilantro seed crop this year is probably going to exceed two cups, which is the same as 50 or so seed packages.
I like your recipe.
