Your tax dollars and mine bought these white phosphorus shells for the United States Army. They were then "stored" in Israel, where they have been "loaned" to the Israeli Defense Forces. Just as the violence by crazy religious bigots like Hamas must come to an end, so must Israeli war crimes, using munitions paid for by Americans.
Please let Don Young, Lisa Murkowski and Mark Begich know that no country should be allowed to use weapons provided by the United States to commit war crimes.

I've written to them but have heard nothing back. Why?
When is God going to step in and scream, "ENOUGH!"? I know the Palestinians have bombs that kill Israelis as brutally as the Israelis are killing Palestinians. Get the Jews and Palestinians out of Israel, make it a museum, and send them some place else out in that desert. What about the Sahara? I'd rather send them food on separate sides of the Sahara and help them grow roots there than let them kill each other with our bombs where they are presently at. When G-d promised the Jews that land, did he had phosphorus bombs in mind and the automatic rifles and other high tech munitions?
Anon @ #2 - This blog does not criticize "Jews."
I have issues with some of the policies of the Israeli government, and with my government, when it comes to dealing with the Palestinian people. By calling the leadership of Hamas "crazy religious bigots,"I am not dismissing Islam.
I am not removing your comment, but commenters need to realize that when I criticize governments who claim to represent a particular religion, I am not criticizing all practitioners of that religion.
Aren't Israelis all Jews? I'm sorry for that. Not all Jewish people are Israelis. I'm terribly sorry. I did not mean to come across like I did.
I still think of what happened to the Jews in WWII and look at how the Israeli government fights now and they are not a kinder, gentler nation.
I have written to Lisa, Mark and Don about this (using only the correct terms) and I have not heard back. It's been a week or two. My understanding is that we give the government of Israel money to defend themselves and we also pay money to the government of Saudi Arabia for oil and that somehow that money gets sent to the Palestinian government for their weapons and that we, the American people, are funding both sides of this bloody war. What are the solutions?
