On Ice - Neklason Lake

The wind died down. It is still below zero Fahrenheit, but Strider and I had a good walk out on the surface of Neklason Lake. The cold has brought many ice compression fractures:

Looking at some are like having a Hubble lake microscope:

Strider is so happy.
Matanuska Peak is in the background:

When you get back from your break, you might want to report on Don Young being one of the very few Congressmen voting against equal pay for women.

You might ask any women voters who voted for Don Young to make a comment on how much they should appreciate Don's efforts on their behalf.

It's me again.

Well, forget that wrong info I printed above.

I read or misread a report that evidently wasn't correct and I must report that Young did vote 'for' the Fair Pay Act today.

Here's the official vote results.

I shouldn't have relied on 'reporting' without confirmation before commenting as I did.

Sorry Don.

(might be the only time I'll say that but so be it)

Sorry also to you and to all your readers.

The ice pics are beautiful, you Dog is cute :)
Aren't you afraid to walk on the ice with so many "fractures" there?
The pic of your Dog and Matanuska Peak, looks like something off a postcard. Thanks for sharing

crystalwolf -

the ice is about 32 inches thick. I could probably drive an 18-wheeler on it right now.

I read your comment to Strider. He wagged his tail.
