New Years Eve, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's George Stromboulopoulos interviewed Alaska Governor Sarah Palin for about fourteen minutes. I've watched his show occasionally on the web. I'd compare him to the USA's, uh..uh....... There may be no national level comparison. Maybe you could compare him to Bill McAllister fifteen years ago, but I really don't know what Bill was doing then. Loyalist, at the right-wing blog Free Republic terms Stromboulopoulos "the biggest faux hip poseur ever to grace Canadian airwaves."
Here's the interview, in two parts:

George Stroumboulopoulos is host of MuchMusic and late-night talk show host. He wears a soul patch. He's hip. WHY is he interviewing Sarah Palin? Because she calls her hubby "First Dude"?
Actually, "interviewing" isn't very accurate. He asked her a number of questions, and let her go on and on about the generalities and inaccuracies she's become known for, talking about her "record", her energy "expertise", etc.
From what she said in this "interview", it seems like she's pretty much memorized what she believes is the story of her VP candidacy and her record as governor -- because I remember hearing all this same stuff 2-3 months ago.
Thanks for posting this interview, Phil. It's interesting to watch out governor lie with such ease.
Do you happen to know where this interview took place?
Gosh, she gets boring! I could only stomach a portion of part one. The most fascinating thing about SP is her syntax. I learned in my college English 101 how good writing is a reflection of a good mind, good thinking abilities. Palin's garbled speech and cookie cutter phrases (repeated ad nauseum) are clearly testaments to her bungled thought processes. This woman is SO in denial of her ablities (or lack therof, again) and in denial of her messed up family, and even, I am afraid, in denial of WHO she is. I find it fascinating that when she mentioned the big events of 2008 she did not mention the fact that she's become a grandmother.
I'd like to see a new HS class offered called, "Palinisms: how to avoid sounding stupid"
To offset the depression of reading about Sarah Palin, read about Claiborne Pell(one time senator of Rhode Island) who died yesterday. Now that was a modest, yet accomplished man. Yay, Mr. Pell, Yay Pell Grants, Yay NEA.

Jessica,
I think the interview was done in the 2nd week of December. Not sure where, possibly at the Wasilla
Sports Complex...?
It is interesting she mentions nothing about the impending birth of the grandchild. But still rattles off the campaign rhetoric by rote.. you would think she was still running for office. The lies and stories just roll off her tongue with ease.
Anon @ #4 - I read somewhere in early December that a college kid submitted a paper to a prof, and got it back with comments from the prof like "too many Palinisms." The kid told his friends, "The paper wasn't very good, but I don't believe it was anywhere near THAT BAD!"
