Slingshot Hip Hop This Evening at UAA

Slingshot Hip Hop, a 2008 movie about the growth of rap and hip hop in Palestinian youth culture is an important film. Alaskans for Palestine is hosting the showing.

What a great day to show a film about youth struggling for a voice in their society's destiny. One can only hope that Palestinian youth in Gaza and the West Bank are learning from events in neighboring Egypt, and feel empowered to end the corrupt Palestinian Authority rule in the West Bank, and inept, hateful and intolerant governance of Hamas in Gaza.
