Dave Rovics to Sing Three Concerts in Alaska This Weekend. Portugal the Man Next Week

Some powerful, Portland, Oregon-based musicians are coming to Anchorage and Southcentral Alaska this week.

David Rovics, perhaps the most prolific, active and challenging politically inspired folksong singer and songwriter in America, will be back to Alaska this weekend for the first time in 12 years:

This coming week, another Portland-based band, Portugal. the Man, will be performing Thursday, April 22nd at the Bear Tooth. They got their start in Wasilla.

I'm trying to get them to do a short acoustic set for my UAA music appreciation class this coming Tuesday. Fingers crossed.
