The Networks and the GOP Are About to Screw Ron Paul in 2012 Like They Did in 2008

Here's the Los Angeles Times on how the audience at the CNN New Hampshire debate responded to Rep. Ron Paul:

Ron Paul may be a long-shot candidate to some, but the conservative congressman from Texas received more than twice as many rounds of applause as his opponents at Monday night's GOP debate.

According to our friends at the Baltimore Sun, Paul was applauded 11 times while Mitt Romney, Michele Bachmann and Tim Pawlenty were applauded five times each. Newt Gingrich and Herman Cain were applauded four times each. Rick Santorum brought up the rear by only being applauded three times during the two-hour CNN debate.

Paul received one of the best reactions of any of the candidates after Romney said that if he were president, he would withdraw troops from Afghanistan only if his generals agreed that it was the right move.

"I wouldn’t wait for my generals," Paul responded.

"I’m the commander in chief. I make the decisions. I tell the generals what to do," Paul, 75, said. "I’d bring them home as quickly as possible. And I would get them out of Iraq as well. And I wouldn’t start a war in Libya. I’d quit bombing Yemen. And I’d quit bombing Pakistan. I’d start taking care of people here at home because we could save hundreds of billions of dollars."

In the 2008 campaign, Progressive Alaska carried several articles on how Rep. Paul was given dishonest media coverage, and ripped off at several GOP caucuses, including those in Alaska. The same ting is going to happen to him this cycle. With more support for him than ever, though, it will be difficult to hide the manipulation.

While I don't agree with a lot of Ron Paul's views, you have to admit that they are truly his views, he doesn't pander, doesn't change opinions because something is popular or not...... I thought he did great in the debates in the last presidental election and I don't think he got a fair shake and likely he won't now.

I like Ron Paul, even though I disagree with many of his ideas, he seems to have something that is sorely lacking these days, he seems real... I think that scares them all, even the media.

Note - voted for Obama and will again but I do admire someone who is honest about what they stand for and I think Paul is.

I think people should email the news agencies and complain about their treatment of Ron Paul, call them out on it.

Mr. Ron Paul for 2012.

Regan said, “What to ask is am I better off now than 4 years ago. Is food cheaper now than 4 years ago? Are taxes lower now than 4 years ago? Is the job situation better than it was 4 years ago?”

With Ron Paul’s 2012, You, it, and they would be.
Constitutionally, legislatively, and morally, Ron Paul has no equal. His 22 year voting record speaks for itself.
As Mr. Regan said, "You ain't seen nothin yet!"
