On Both Sides of the Coin - Disgusting

Thursday evening, ex-Israeli Prime Minister, Ehud Olmert, addressed the students at the University of Chicago's Harris School of Public Policy. Surprisingly, the engagement was funded by Jordan's King Abdullah. His talk, which might have lasted 25 minutes, was much longer because of almost continuous disruption by students from the University of Chicago and other colleges. Here's a distillation YouTube, provided by The Electronic Intifada:

When Alison Weir came to Alaska, a lot of people, including some close friends of mine, quietly tried to get at least some of her many appearances here canceled. That didn't work, except at Alaska Pacific University. Talk about "quietly."

But once she took the stage, she was allowed to speak.

Good for Alaskans.

That being said, Alison Weir could also give the same talks she gave in Anchorage, Homer, Juneau and Fairbanks in London. Or Rotterdam. Or Copenhagen. Or Oslo. Olmert wouldn't be able to do that, because the risk of his being arrested for war crimes in those cities is real.

Unless the Israeli court system is as corrupt as is ours, Olmert might not soon have as much freedom to travel internationally as he now does, though. He has been indicted for corruption and the charges look fairly formidable.

The criminality of ceaseless war is catching up with Israeli politicians and generals.

When will it start catching up with ours?

Your anti-semitism is becoming rather tiring...what did the Jews ever do to you ? And why are so many "progressives" head-over-heels in love with radical Islam ? It can't be the anti-gay stuff you guys go weak for, it can't be the "Islam should be the governing force over politics" stuff either....aaaahhh..I get it it's the anti-Americanism and misogyny of Islamic fundamentalists that floats your boat.Good luck with all that...

How telling that you see Israel's 60 year defensive war against genocidal
Islamic aggression as criminal. I guess you anti-semites on the Left just want Israel to stop defending itself so that the Jews can be driven into the sea.

One can be against the government of Israel without being an anti-Semite.

Good work Phil. More people need to be speaking out about the evil being done by the Israeli government. They must not be allowed to call every critic an anti-Semite. Keep speaking out. IMHO the Israeli Government has become the evil they fought against.

Do "leftists" even know what "evil" is ? How come you all speak like medieval priests ? Everyone who opposes your pro-islamic, anti-American, anti-Israel views are "evil" ? Grow up. IMHO the anti-Israel left in the US are allies of the genocidal islamic-fascists.

Indeed, but PA's constant belittling of the Holocaust and constant attacks on Israel would lead most people to assume his hatred of Israel has a deeper, more disturbing motivation .
To call Israel's desperate attempts to survive amongst the murderous regimes of the Middle East "criminality of ceaseless war" shows either a rank ignorance of history or evidence of anti-semitism.
