Palestine on the Map

This is a remarkable video for its savvy restraint and high quality production:

Your video is full of lies and omissions.

For example, your narrator claims that the settlements are over 50% of the West Bank. It's a lie. According to Palestine monitor factsheet:

"- Settlements are built on less than 3 percent of the area of the West Bank."

Omission: Why is the fence being built?

Why was it begun in 2002 when Israel was in full occupation of the West Bank since 1967?

Why is Gaza blockaded?

Why is there no mention of the terrorist campaign that Israel suffered following Camp David Summit? What happened in Camp David II? Why don't the Palestinians have their own state by now?

Only highly gullible readers with a pre disposition to demonize Israel, the only Jewish state in the world, would gobble this kind of informational video without wondering what the real story behind it is.

Palestinians are Arabs. Arabs have the Middle East, 400 million people, 22 Arab states, and the oil. Israel takes up one third of one percent of the entire Middle East. Yet no one watching your film can understand this from the way the conflict is presented.

CC,

Put down that Ziocane pipe you're smoking and back away for a minute.

The West Bank is becoming a more degrading experience for the Palestinians every day, and the settlements continue to expand. The sooner NO country is a "name a religion" state, the better, including the one you seem to be defending here. I'm no fan of Arab and other states that claim to be "Muslim" states, in that respect and in many others.

If you are new to this blog, you need to know that one of the things I'm fighting for is to keep the USA from becoming a "Christian" nation. It never has been and never should be. Israel and other religious dominated countries would be better off without being dominated by the evils of fundamentalist religious nuts and bigots.

The video is fairly notable for its restraint in regard to religion. It makes no claim to be comprehensive.

The housing aspects of the West Bank settlements have a fairly small footprint on the West Bank, but that certainly does not leave the remainder of the territory there in the hands of the Palestinian Authority, does it?

Your blog is interesting. Bookmarked.

"Instead, he says, he will remain passive. "I will wait for Hamas to accept international commitments. I will wait for Israel to freeze settlements," he said. "Until then, in the West Bank we have a good reality . . . the people are living a normal life." In the Obama administration, so far, it's easy being Palestinian. "

CC,

Show me a link to the map Olmert offered Abbas. Please. Otherwise, this is all BS.
