The truth is, our Beltway Establishment -- Democratic or Republican -- couldn't organize a binge in a brewery. These are the folks responsible, through negligence and profit taking, for where we are today -- ripped off by banksters and Wall Street, and Madoffs who made off.

"Obama for Change"? Maybe President Rhetoric meant spare change.

I agree with Dean. If you voted against it, have some values, finally, instead of just alot of mouth about values, and don't take the money.

Louisiana's been taking how much Federal aid? The next time a hurricaine puts New Orleans under water, don't rebuild.

Palin should help her own native people's instead of mouthing off to them also.

Howard Dean was also on this morning's Meet the Press talking about the same thing.

He was tactful in his comments about the GOP Governors Sanford, Jindal, Perry, Barbour and Palin.

The Dems seem to still be bending over backwards to give the Repubs leeway to "come back to the fold" of bipartisanship -- or give them rope to hang themselves with.

Right now it seems more like the latter, and good riddance. Like the Dems keep saying, NOW is not the time for the Repubs to maintain their ideological partisan posturing.

Those GOP governors seem to be blind to the possibility they're shooting themselves in the foot and NOT impressing their neediest constituents (i.e., voters). Nearly all their objections are answered in the bill itself (such as federally funded stimulus programs ending or not, depending on whether the states want to fund continuance). They should be thinking about NOW, and not wringing their hands about 2 years down the road.
