Alaska Sen. Ted Stevens, preparing for telling the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, before a Washington DC jury later this month (actually, I think his attorneys will have him STFU), is shamelessly courting the so-called Palin vote in Alaska, defending Palin's veracity on the "Bridge to Nowhere" issue.In spite of the fact that it has been proven conclusively in the national and local media that in her 2006 campaign, Palin touted the bridge, and our DC legislative delegation's clout when it comes to bringing porky earmarks back to Alaska, Stevens is quoted in yesterday's Washington Post The Trail, as saying now:
"I don't remember her ever campaigning for it. As a matter of fact, she was very critical of it at the time. And she took the money and did not use it for the bridge, so you're wrong, as far as I'm concerned."
Continuing to shamelessly lie in search of Palin votes, Stevens went on:
"She was never really behind this. I defended it in the Senate. She did not support that. She did not support that."Right, Ted.......

Come on, Stevens, CNN has Palin on video supporting the bridges. And the Department of Justice has you nailed. Your credibility is gone.
