Prince William Sound Vignettes

Judy, Kelly and I were invited to go halibut fishing with my longtime friend Stacy, out of Valdez, on the 5th of July. It was a stunningly beautiful day. Early in the morning, on the way out of Valdez Arm, we passed dozens of purse seiners, who had just begun fishing a 24-hour opener for Pink salmon. Above, I'm looking back toward the Port of Valdez. Below, we're out in the full sunshine, near Jack Bay.

We fished three spots north of Montague Island, between Zaikov Bay and Green Island.
Judy posted some of her pictures on her facebook page.

Love the scenery and people of Valdez. Glad your recent trip was blessed with good wx. Hope the remaining summer is similarly enjoyable.
