Spreading the word about the growing presence of progressive Alaskans and their powerful ideas on the web
Her last comment was "you're the President of this Country, please act like it". And, unfortunately he is acting like it. He is kowtowing to those that pull his strings and make the decisions. Obama merely gives the sound bites.
Since thousands of people all over the country are being kept in even worse conditions than Manning and the Obama administration is doing nothing about that why does everyone seem to think he will do something about Bradley Manning's conditions? Innocent until proven guilty is a myth. The private prison corporations build supermax prisons and units where masses of inmates are held in solitary confinement. When they have mental breakdowns from that torture they have even more torture for them. Innocent or guility, no human should be kept in these conditions.
You are 100% right, Celia.
This breaks my heart. This young man is entirely vulnerable, and it would seem his captors are making sport of torturing him and calling it "for his safety." President Obama needs to step up and stop it, now. He needs to actually BE the president, not just a mouth piece for the Presidency.
O/T A link to an ad for a show on CBC News Network (Canadian) Passionate Eye - WikiLeaks' Forgotten Man - airing tonight -"Inside story of the alleged 'deep throat' behind the WikiLeaks security breach that enraged the U.S. government who now languishes in a U.S. military prison"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0T7x2C4EwQoFiredoglake may have access to see it as they did interview House in it. I do not know if CBC will upload to Youtube. If they do post to the CBC.ca site, it may not be available to view outside of Canada (the same as many networks, etc. do in the U.S. - Canada can't watch the videos.)
