[Palin] said she'd love to appear on "Saturday Night Live" with Tina Fey, who's made famous a hilarious caricature of Palin.
"I love her, she's a hoot and she's so talented. It would be fun to meet her, imitate her, and keep on giving her new material," Palin said of Fey.
In comments to the ADN Political Blog article on this, commenter MsRotten writes:
So let me get this straight....she LIKES being a dunce and likes having the whole world laugh AT her? Does she not have ANY self-respect? You'd think one running for VP of the US of A would!!
Last week, when McCain let Palin know he was pulling his campaign's forces from Michigan, Palin claimed she objected. Well, Michigan Republicans want her back there, too. You can help them get her to waste time there, by signing the Detroit Republicans' petition to the McCain campaign here.
And you can sign a petition sponsored by the Michigan Democrats, to bring Tina Fey to Michigan, right here.
And New York Magazine and other gossip sheets are reporting that SNL might actually have a Fey-Palin co-appearance in the works. This led New York Magazine columnist, Jacob Barshad, to speculate:
And while it would certainly continue the show's recent winning streak, Palin and Fey-as-Palin together on the same stage may very well create a time paradox the results of which could cause a chain of reaction that would unravel the very fabric of the space-time continuum and destroy the entire universe. So be warned, we guess.......
YIKES!

She is giving her new material, all right. And she imitates her! When she first did a Sarah sketch with a pretend Hilary, while Hill spoke, Tina did profile breast shots, smiles at the cameras and was silly, then Sarah did the equivalent during the so-called debate with Mr. Biden!
I have to say, I normally do not lean left, but for em to elect this woman means that my IQ will have to drop by 60 points.
I feel like we lose no matter what, Phil. If she gets elected, we have her dumbness in DC for four years, if she looses we still get her back.
We get her back until after the February impeachment hearing ends in early March...
It seems to me that someone, probably the same republic campaign staffer who introduced her to the NYTimes the other day, told her the SNL folks (and their parent, the evil NBC empire) is making millions of ad dollars and gaining thousands of new viwers by making fun of Palin. They then must have pointed out that the only way to stop the humiliation would be to make it not-funny and offer to go on the show with Fey. If SNL bites, the jig will be up, and the republic strategists know it. I suggest Ms. Fey and SNL send a reply similar to, "No thank you, but I would like to talk about energy!"
Hi Philip,
David Brooks has some damning things to say about The Governor:

Brooks: "[Sarah Palin] represents a fatal cancer to the Republican party."
So good to find this blog. I've featured it on mine and just want to say keep up the good work. Here's hoping it won't be needed for long.
