Democratic Party challenger to Don Young's U.S. Congressional seat, Jake Metcalfe, will be issuing a challenge in Thursday morning's papers to Diane Benson and Ethan Berkowitz to release their Federal tax returns, so that they and he can show Don Young and voters how transparent Democrats are compared to the GOP. We'll see how that goes.
Meanwhile, Diane Benson is the first of any of the candidates to issue a set of comprehensive materials on Tuesday's announcement by BP and Conoco-Phillips' proposal to build a gas pipeline from the North Slope to the U.S. upper Midwest. Benson's proposal is quite stunning in its depth, and in the number of issues raised.
While the progressive activist praises some parts of the proposal, she asks a number of questions of importance to all Alaskans.
You can read a short statement on this, and the entire letter at Boris's Blog at Benson's campaign site. You can read my diary on Benson's efforts in this arena at DailyKos.

What is the response of Ethan Berkowitz and Diane Benson to Jake Metcalfe's challenge (re income tax disclosure)? Seems to me that should be a no-brainer affirmative from the two of them; if not, what's up?
