Begich Endorses Diane Benson

Dr. Nick Begich, Mark Begich's oldest brother, has endorsed AK-AL Democratic Party candidate, Diane Benson. Nick, a twice-elected past President of both the Alaska Federation of Teachers and the Anchorage Council of Education, says:

Diane Benson represents the heart of Alaska demonstrated throughout her life. I am pleased to have the opportunity to endorse her at this important time in our state's history!

Howie Klein, the guiding light behind Blue America, a fundraising tool for progressive Democrats, is carrying an article he requested I write for him, about the changing dynamics in our state's U.S. Senate and U.S. House races. Blue America raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in 2006, mostly through small donations from thousands of progressives across the country.

Howie called my Down With Tyranny article Begich and Benson Begin the Beguine.

The other Begich...

the author of this article volunteered for and donated to the 1978 and 1980 campaigns of Rep. Don Young (he was then a Republican), volunteered for and donated to the Alaska Democratic Party when Jake Metcalfe was chairman, has volunteered for and donated to Diane Benson since July, 2006; and has donated to the current Jake Metcalfe and Ethan Berkowitz campaigns.
