January 8th Home Snow Scenes

Although this is the most snow accumulation I can ever remember us having at this house (we moved here in November, 1995), a lot of other places in southcentral Alaska are getting far more than we are.  And there is no end of it in sight, with it still snowing moderately as I type.  The peak of our local snow season is usually around the first week of February.

The snow shovel below is dwarfed by the snowblower berm it rests against.

I haven't started the pickup truck since early December, so it has about two feet or more of snow on top.

The picnic table on the front deck is not ready for dinner any time soon.

Dang Phill,
your "shovel trail" is all neat and aligned.
Between the dogs, kids and moose my "shovel trail" looks like taffy on a auto dashboard in 80 degree weather.
