This was the scene last winter at Colony High School at the annual meeting of Matanuska Electrical Association:
At that meeting and vote count, a new, progressive board of directors was elected. This year, after several attempts by the old guard to overturn the verdict of the MEA voters, we will have a chance to consolidate that victory for common sense and long-term survival of the utility as a co-op. Please come to the meeting.
Corey Cogdell, a 2008 Olympic Bronze Medalist in Women's Trap, will be MEA's guest speaker. The doors open at 12:30 p.m. Registration opens at 1 p.m. and closes at 3 p.m. and the meeting begins at 2 p.m. Palmer High School.

She's a lousy speaker even when reading from script.
Took her a while to get around to introducing Stevens. Her pals from Kodiak got introduced right at the start. Stevens didn't get any more applause than the Coast Guard did towards the end of Palin's speech.
I think you meant to post a comment at the Palin ComFish thread....
Oops, sorry-- not the first time I've done that.
I'll be there, but I'll be voting the other way.

holikachuk,
See you there - I hope!
I'll be wearing a Tug Pathfinder Valdez hat.
