Governor Sarah Palin stated that she does not want to "split hairs" on whether Begich should resign or not but agrees with the Republican Party's call for a special election.

Whaaaa? How is that question "splitting hairs?"

Unless Begich resigns, there is no need for a special election!

You betcha, and such as. Also.

This video is disturbing. Trial "technicalities" as used here are actually constitutional rights. I of course believe Stevens is guilty based on evidence but when you maginalize constitutional rights as mere technicalities, we are in trouble. We need to prosecute people with full regard of the law, not by ignoring it.

I hear people scoffing at letting criminals off on "technicalities" all the time without thought that maybe it is the right thing to do. I wish there were maybe a will or a way to make sure criminals are punished (amongst all the classes in our class society) but I would rather we did it lawfully.
