Saradise Lost - Chapter Ninety-Nine -- A Rape Survivor on Sarah Palin

Planned Parenthood
has raised over $800,000 by donors protesting Sarah Palin's dim views on rape victims. The action on this pretty much started with Shannyn Moore's column, Life Begins at Rape. The column was picked up by a number of blogs nationwide. Then, somebody suggested donations be sent to Planned Parethood in Sarah Palin's name. She will be sent "thank-you's" for each donation in her name. She can read them, as she prepares for her 2009 impeachment hearings.

Hey, Anchorage Daily News! You still haven't covered the HB 270 story in context. Maybe now that a story by a girl from Homer has encouraged people worldwide to contribute what will soon be over $1,000,000 to Planned Parenthood, the story's importance might be worth mentioning?

Others seem to think Palin's policy is newsworthy. I know, I know, it is only papers like the Boston Globe, for instance, after all...

I heard that you could donate 'in honor of' someone...You have to specify when donating and have a thank you sent to their address...

If that pleases you, go to superpages.com and hit people pages

then look up palin, alaska...there is an address for a T&S Palin in Wasilla...

May their mailbox overflow

very resourceful, anonymous... i smile thinking about those planned parenthood notices going to her house. maybe she'll receive them when she returns home on nov 5th. that would be fab.

i get that this whole ad is controversial, but i would have to agree w/ those who say that someone who volunteers is a) not being taken advantage of, and b) extremely, extremely brave. this ad is effective to say the least, and i especially like it b/c ms. palin likes to take an "aw-shucks-i'm-just-an-average-american" approach to defending her policies, but to say that average americans agree w/ her is an insult to all of us. furthermore, i don't know ANYONE as bassackwards as palin: and it's not like i am hanging w/ ivy leaguers or the "georgetown cocktail set" (whatever that is) for god's sake. i really, really despise them on an epic level. just over 12 hours til tonight's debate when we can see if the simpleton game is an act or the real thing.

oh, and a few other things yesterday left a really bad taste in my mouth for the campaign: the rolling stone article on mccain and the video footage of mccain @ the des moines register editorial board meeting. thoughts?
