Winter's Last Hurrah?

I got up at 7:30 this morning and waas greeted by the last strands of a sunrise with clear skies and what may be the last thick coating of snow on the trees.

Looking out over Neklason Lake toward the Talkeetnas and Hatcher Pass:

 

With sunshine and warmth into the high 40s predicted for the coming week, this new snow is ephemeral.
