Eric Ewazen at UAA's Recital Hall This Evening - For Free!

Juilliard Institute composition professor and composer, Eric Ewazen is in Anchorage this week. His oboe concerto, "Down a River of Time," will be performed Saturday by the Anchorage Symphony Orchestra, with Sharman Piper as soloist. During the week he is conducting clinics and master classes and giving talks.

This evening, Tuesday, he will be talking about his work at UAA's Fine Arts Building Recital Hall - Room 150 - at 7:00 p.m. He will be joined by UAA faculty members and others, who will perform parts of some of his works to illustrate the talk.

Ewazen has specialized, over the past decade or so, on music for brass, and that will be a feature at tonight's presentation.

The event and Arts Building parking lot use are free tonight.
