A Sign of Spring in the Garden

Rhubarb is a hardy plant. Here is the rosy sign of the first bud coming out of our rhubarb patch.

Below is a clump of dead chives from last year, pushed down by feet of snow that have now melted. We will be harvesting new chives within four weeks.

A couple of Siberian iris seed pods look out over frozen Neklason Lake.

A purple poppy seed pod rises above the last remains of yesterday morning's fresh snow in the middle of the garden.

Nice to see Spring coming finally, and the rhubarb coming is definately a sure sign.
