Pressure/Grace -- Western Washington University and Their Alaskan Women's Crew Team Members Win Fourth National Championship in a Row

Western Washington University's women's crew team won their fourth national NCAA Division II championship in a row, on Lake Latoma, California, this morning. Both the Varsity 4 and Varsity 8 won their events by at least three lengths.

Seen at left are the four Alaska women on the winning team's travel group: Heather Kelly of Bird Creek, Audrey Coon of Kenai, Julia Munger of Palmer, and Casey Mapes of Anchorage.

The team's motto is "Grace Under Pressure," or P/G.

Update - Monday 7:49 a.m: Barry Piser from the Anchorage Daily News has an article on the team in today's edition.
