Saradise Lost - Chapter Seventeen -- Four Peas in a Pod -- Vic Kohring, Don Young, Ted Stevens and Sarah Palin

One thing - I'm sure there's more - that now unites GOP Governor Sarah Palin and convicted felon Alaska GOP Vic Kohring, under-multiple-investigations US GOP Representative Don Young, and under-indictment US Senator Ted Stevens, is their reliance upon campaign funding by now-convicted oil industry bagman and cutout, Bill Allen.

Another is now their intense reliance upon high-level big lawyers, seeking to delay, hide, deter and kill off moves to give the public or legal proceedings access to important facts about their conduct as public officials.

Palin has now gotten so many lawyers working on hiding her misconduct, present, recent, and possibly long-past, that you'd think Exxon had let Joe Hazelwood skipper another vessel back onto another rock.

What has hit a reef, though, with Tuesday's moves by Palin's legal crew, is any claim she can honestly make about "transparency." Given the inevitability of utter defeat in November of the McCain-Palin ticket, this most recent of her post August 29th moves destroys her possibility of re-election to the governorship in 2010. That campaign, that governorship, has just hit Sarah's version of Bligh Reef.
