I Will Be Hosting Max Blumenthal This Saturday, at Firedoglake's Book Salon

Bestselling author Max Blumenthal's new book, Goliath: Life and Loathing in Greater Israel, came out on October 1st.  Reception to the book has been mixed, as it is a scathing look at the growing racism, jingoism and authoritarianism inside Israeli society.

I will be hosting Max at the two-hour on-line forum, held between 1:00 and 3:00 pm Alaska time.

Come join us.  Ask Max anything that comes to mind.

Here is the latest video interview with Max on his new book:

Phil, I have a question. Why do you think there have been so many Alaskans who've spread lies about Sarah Palin? Some outspoken people blatantly spread stories with no root in truth. I know that former classmates (one specifically) has told big lies (mainly to Dunn). It's just sad to me.

I grew up in a small town and was subject to the typical rumor mill as most people are. But the way RIDICULOUS stories spread in the Valley is BIZARRE. I feel bad for Sarah's family mostly; but I appreciate that they had the chance to pen a book about their REAL story growing up in Alaska. Her father has always been a beloved teacher and friend, and the Heath house is such a welcoming place for all.
The Palin house as well, as Ive seen.

So to all the losers who can't help but tell nasty lies about paternity, Trig living in random states, and lifestyles, I would recommend a cleansing of the soul. Maybe watch our sweet Sarah is with Trig when watching Pipers bball game recently. Beautiful.

Anonymous,

If you would be so kind as to tell me more about who you are, I might tell you more than what I am about to tell you.

I have no idea why you are writing to me about Palin or the Palins. I stopped writing about her when she was no longer a threat to our constitutional republic. Why would I want to even indulge your request about a person who has become something between a non entity and a pale joke? Or engage you about her family, most of whom deserve to be left alone?
