Bradley Manning is NOT a whistleblower. He did not utilize the government's whistleblowing mechanism. He didn't even try. He stole confidential information and distributed it. The U.S. government is now making an example of him. Thank you, Julian Assange. Great job. Don't pretend you didn't know what would happen to him. Was it worth it? Hardly.
I compare him to others who have protested illegal acts by the military with whom they served. No more. No less. The government's treatment of him, however, is despicable.
