Early August Signs of the Times

This sign was up from late 2006 until early last winter. It is on Trunk road, just toward the Glenn Highway from Mat-Su College.





The sign disappeared, but the empty frame stayed up.





Just the other day a new sign popped up in the empty frame.











A guy has made a couple of other homemade signs and posted them at the corner of Trunk Road and the Palmer-Wasilla Highway. I met him. He's a Bristol Bay setnetter and has a mechanical business in the Valley. He asked me what I thought of his signs.









I told him, "Way cool, man - Great!"
