I tracked the author of an op-ed printed in ADN (http://www.adn.com/2010/09/03/1438786/beck-rally-is-symbolic-violence.html) to this site to learn more about what their thoughts were and what their position was in response to the positions of Glen Beck and many others.

My first sentence with regards to the pictures is in reference to this specific blog post - there is no finer landscape in the U.S. (in my opinion) than that found in Alaska and the poster's photos impressed me.

Next, finding myself perusing "Progressive Alaska" website, I was really (truly) hoping to read something about progressivism. Just like the Tea Party, Facism, Barack Obama, or ACORN, we hear this term over and over again and yet so rarely (if ever) actually hear what it means. As an Alaskan, I thought this might be a good place to start learning.

Is everything pretty clear so far?

So, I perused the front page of the blog all the way to the bottom. Instead of reading about new ideas or seeing posited solutions to today's problems, I found blog post after blog post attacking Joe Miller, Sarah Palin, Todd Palin, and other similarly aligned influences. Many were sophomoric in nature, most were vitriolic and outright verbal attacks. I noticed Scott's name a few times - but his views and solutions were nowhere to be found.

Considering "progressive" thought connotes moving forward, I can't really understand how those posts would support such thinking. To the author's credit, though, there have been (since my comment) several articles posted that were a lot more thoughtful in composition and presentation though they still do not hone in on "Progressivism".

If this explanation does not make sense, I doubt anything I say will. Please understand though, that that is solely an indictment on my apparent inability to convey a reasonable thought rather than any allegation that you are unable to receive the same.

Sincerely,
David S.David S.noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2083200247132907218.post-11539944935381306452010-09-04T01:06:30.291-08:002010-09-04T01:06:30.291-08:00love the pictures doodlove the pictures doodSuzannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10304929560878904921noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2083200247132907218.post-5641878198832295512010-09-03T22:34:35.681-08:002010-09-03T22:34:35.681-08:00David S.

I'm open to a fair discussion on the topic with any self-proclaimed "Progressive" to see what they are really all about.

Very unfortunately, all I found on the entire front page of your blog was a long series of attack after attack on successful Republicans. This, on the contrary, seems very digressive and very similar to the same age old tactics of liberals who have nothing truly better to contribute.

I encourage you to make your own "Progressive" manifesto more obvious to the casual passersby on the information highway. Maybe we'll pay a little more attention.David S.noreply@blogger.com
